This spring marks the third tour of Italy in the past 20 years for the University of Northern Iowa Wind Symphony. The last trip, four years ago, is still fresh in the minds of our alumni and even a few current students who will be making a return trip to “Il belpaes”, the beautiful country. The ensemble is looking to send its 50 members to represent the outstanding musicianship at UNI. We will be playing concerts in a different city nearly every night and serving as the lab ensemble for a conducting seminar in Palazzolo sull’ Oglio.
This trip will be full of wonderful music, meeting host families, experiencing Italian culture, and visiting historical sites and churches in Verona, Turin, and Brescia. Our goal is to ensure that all students are able to participate by funding one-third of our costs through community support, so you are a big part of making this trip happen! Please consider donating toward this exciting endeavor for our students and the Italians alike. Thank you!
