Anytime you pass the opponent's attack, it is called a dig. This skill is crucial to the game because if you can’t dig, you can’t keep the ball alive and playable. This donation level will cover the cost of two players’ meals when we eat as a team at the national tournament.
The setter is one of the most important players on the team. This position is in charge of running the offense. Sometimes their position is overlooked because the hitter is the one securing the point by hitting the ball, but they always have the assist. This donation level will help with travel expenses.
A good, solid hit is what gets the team points in a game. It is up to the hitter to know where and how hard to hit the ball in order for the team to win. This donation level will pay for the excess cost of the new t-shirt jerseys the team needs to wear at the national tournament.
A block is the first line of defense (literally) in the game of volleyball. While it's main purpose is to prevent the ball from coming onto one side of the net, a great block can even end up scoring points for the team. This donation level will pay for two hotel rooms for one night of the competition.
This is an incredible play that can be made by any player on the team. It usually involves the player diving for a ball with their hand outstretched, flattening their hand on the ground right where the ball lands which gets the ball back into a playable position. This donation level pays for half of our teams entry fee into the tournament.
