COVID-19 has presented unprecedented challenges for UNI students. Many are facing loss of work, difficulty paying bills, changes to their learning environment and for some, concerns about the health and wellbeing of their family members.
As we forge ahead in the midst of this crisis, we’re asking the Panther family to help these students by donating to the #UNItogether Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide an academic scholarship to new and returning students who have experienced financial hardships as a result of COVID-19.
By showing your support today, you will join a global movement, Giving Tuesday Now, in a show of unity and giving to respond to the crisis of COVID-19. Recognizing the immense need this pandemic has caused, today replaces UNI’s annual Day of Giving as we seek your help in providing security for students in these uncertain times. All gifts to the #UNItogether Scholarship Fund will be matched, up to $50,000, with a donation to the UNI Annual Fund from the Foundation Board of Trustees.

Attention Students: Students can apply for #UNItogether scholarship funding by filing a special circumstances appeal with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Information on the process is available at https://finaid.uni.edu/special-circumstances.

UNI Foundation Board of Trustees Match: The UNI Foundation Board of Trustees will match all gifts to the #UNItogether Scholarship Fund up to $50,000 with gifts to the UNI Annual Fund.
How will my gift be used? Gifts will be used to support students who are experiencing financial hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. If needs for these students have been satisfied the funds will be used to support UNI students with demonstrated financial need.
What if I want to support UNI students through another fund? If you would like to show your support for UNI students through a different fund, please do so at our main giving page on the UNI Foundation website.
