The UNI Cheer Team is going to the Universal Cheerleader Association Camp (UCA) in the Wisconsin Dells on August 3-5!
It has become a tradition for the UNI Cheerleaders to attend camp and the team is excited to pack up and go again this fall. Camp provides a great way to bond as a team, learn new skills to be utilized for all games this new school year and network with other cheer teams from across the United States. We can’t wait to get new ideas and techniques to bring home to all our Panther Fans.
The team is asking for your help to attend camp. Your generous donations will help send over 30 UNI student athletes to UCA Camp; covering registration fees, transportation, lodging and attire. UNI Cheer is grateful for whatever amount you can give and appreciates your donations. Thanks for helping us achieve more and Go Panthers!
Last year, we had the opportunity to learn a new pyramid. Your support can help us lean another new formation for 2017-18!
At camp we perform the UNI Fight Song a lot. We are judged and critiqued on how we perform it and on how to make it better for our fans at home. It is also a competition among cheer teams and the All-Girls UNI Squad has won with their precise motions and smiles in years past.
This is one of the hardest tricks to master as a cheerleader. It takes skill and trust in your teammates. The staff at UCA camp are full of knowledge and techniques to show us how to perfect the basket toss and to get more people trained at the skill.
