The UNI ACDA Student Chapter seeks to attend the American Choral Directors Association National Convention on March 8-11, held in Minneapolis. As a self-funded student organization, UNI students fundraise throughout the year to make this possible.
The American Choral Directors Association is a national organization dedicated to inspire excellence in choral music through education, performance, composition and advocacy.
Attending the national convention is important to choral music education students because they have the opportunity to watch choirs from around the country perform, as well as international choirs. The variety of choral repertoire, different ensemble sounds, and conductors that they will be exposed to is unmatched by any other experience. They get to attend interest sessions given by the country’s leading experts in teaching and conducting, and connect with composers, conductors and teachers that they have studied in their ensembles and classes.
Please consider making a gift today. Your financial assistance greatly helps UNI students gain valuable experiences that will serve them for the rest of their careers. Thank you for your support!
