At the beginning of March, 23 Choral Educations Majors from UNI were able to attend the American Choral Directors Association National Convention in Minneapolis. Within the the four days of the convention students attended multiple concerts given by elite ensembles from around the world, participate in educational workshops on a variety of topics, and make connections with future colleagues and other notable people in the field of music.

We even had the opportunity to hear UNI’s very own Dr. Amy Kotsonis present on Appalachian folk music. We were so proud of the session she gave and were excited that UNI was represented at a large scale convention.

    Our days were filled with a lot of learning, creating fellowship within our choral program, and music. All of this would not have been possible without your support. Thank you for supporting our organization and helping us take advantage of the opportunity we were given. This is a convention we hope to attend each year as it allows students to grow in many ways you cannot in a regular classroom. Your generous contributions helped us grow and renewed our dedication to choral music education. Thank you so much for your support!
